God is not a sour pickle.

1 Corinthians 1:18-20 (NIV)  But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.” 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me and Silas[a] and Timothy—was not “Yes” and “No,” but in him it has always been “Yes.” 20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

God is not a sour pickle on some days and a loving Father on other days.

God is not fickle. He doesn’t change like the wind. He isn’t bad on our bad days and only good on our good days.

It’s easy to attach God to our emotions in the moment. When we’re having a bad day we think God is mad at us and out to get us. And, when we’re having a good day, then God is good because we are blessed and on top of the world.

God is not up and down and all around. He is always good and gracious, extending love and forgiveness to help us on our life journey.

He is the one and only constant in this world.

God’s promises are always “Yes.” He promises be your strength when you’re weak, to give you wisdom when you don’t have a clue what to do next, to be your deliverer when you’re stuck in the mud, and to offer His hand of forgiveness when you make bad choices.

God is a “Yes” God. Do you need His help? Do you need His forgiveness? Do you need His strength? Do you need His wisdom? Then, it’s simple; reach out and ask Him. His answer is and always will be “Yes”.

You may be a sour pickle sometimes, but God isn’t! lol
