Dear Self,
I know you’re tired and out-of-breath… but you’re still breathing right?! That means you’re not really out-of-breath, so you can’t quit!
Go ahead and take a breather. Take a step back and give yourself time to recover from the rat-race you just marathoned through. It’s okay to stop and rest for a bit.
Self, I have a thought that might help! What about finding a hobby or doing something fun and out of the ordinary, so that you can breathe life and energy back into your pressure-cooker life?
Make time for joyful moments in your crazy-busy life!
Go out for ice cream, go to a football game with a group of friends, go to a movie, go to the beach, or explore someplace new. Take time for you.
Tomorrow though, it’s time to get back into the race again.
Pump yourself back up with confidence and purpose and maybe next time, don’t go so far without taking a breath of fresh air.
